Max

I lost my pet Pug, Max, in March 2021.

I had him for thirteen years, and he was my best friend. My child. My everything.

Loosing him has been very difficult but I wanted to pay him my respects in a special way.

To make his life with me, somewhat last beyond even death. A tribute to him.

I took my dog to Toronto's Centre Island every labour day weekend for the last few years.

It was "our" day.

But I lost some of my best photos of Max when my hard-drive recently failed.
Almost two years of images and our 2 0r 3 trips to Centre Island.

So I plan to RECREATE THEM

Max seemed to love the Ferry ride.

I remember just watching him stare out across the lake, observing the world like a child does. Everything was new. An experience.

So I am now using the Unreal Engine to recreate that day, The Ferry ride, Centre Islands beach and all.

I have used Zbrush, Maya, 3DS Max and the Unreal Engine for this.

Max is now utilizing UDIMs at 8192x8192. One for the body and one for the face and ears.

I have rigged and animated Max as well. He is fully animated and has his own control rig.
I have also created ai behaviour for Max.  He will roam, explore, take time to pee on waypoints, and come to me on command.

He will play fetch and I am currently getting him to climb up onto surfaces.

Bit by bit he is beginning to take on a life of his own.

I have also been experimenting with Neural Networks in the Unreal Engine.  True Ai.

Max will do tricks for rewards once I am finished teaching myself this new plug in.

I am also working on another dog as an example.

This is Shyla.  She has been gone nine years.
